Putting the boot into tenants

Well, Housing NSW has tried to evict me twice now for 'management reasons', as if I was in in their custody and they were not simply my landlords.
The bullying and intimidation of me by its legal department as well as its senior staff has been horrendous.
The team leaders I have encountered as part of the appeals process have made my blood run cold.
Why have these insensitive, uncaring people been given so much power over their tenants?
Particularly when many of their tenants would be victims of child abuse and possibly former clients of DOCS?
It doesn't figure, professing to want to help abused children then putting the boot into them when they are adults.
Why they want to put the boot into me is because I've complained about their incompetence and their abuse of power.
I've finally spoken up about it after living with it for seven years in a state of fear.
I have had enough.

  1. Why would you assume that everyone/most people in Housing have a history with Docs? Seems a rather large generalisation.

Any landlord has a right to move tenants from a property if they need it (for whatever reason) and provided they go through the right channels. I can't imagine a massive landlord organisation like DOH not doing that. There'd be massive headlines if they were being underhanded as you imply.

I've seen the relocation policy on the website; it's not unfair or power wielding at all. It's a fair and equitable process.

At the end of the day it's not an abuse of power, it's their right as a landlord to do what is best for their property because they own it. They're no different to any other Landlord in Australia.

Yet what other landlord in Australia would spend time assisting their tenants relocate to a place that meets their needs, pay for the removalists and reimburse them for any improvements they made to the property?

Can't see LJ Hooker doing that can you?
